Formal Analysis/Content Analysis
This weeks artist was different from those I’ve interviewed because of the interactive work she has. Human interactions were encouraged for a better experience. She uses electronics, mythologies, and different medias to show parts of life. The first thing presented at the door was the art of the creation of man that was painted by Michel Angelo at the Sistine Chapel. This and her other artwork was nice too see because it allowed his to interact with and see that life is created with a touch. Yeri’s gallery represented the journey through life which ultimately leads to forgiving yourself.
The art exhibit was a nice illustration of our journey through life and also interactive. We were able to read what the artist wrote and touch the art ourselves. I thought it was interesting that there is an order to her work and when put together it is the journey we go through in life. It started with the creation of man, and ends with forgiving yourself. I believe that if you cannot forgive yourself, you cannot move on and will be stuck in the past. Learn from your mistakes and let it guide you to be better since the past cannot be changed, you can only accept it. I enjoyed this weeks conversation with Yeri Hwang and it helped me accept my mistakes in the past.
